Drina Kei Yatsu: Drina is a doctoral student at Boston College, studying curriculum and instruction. She has a B.A. in French & Linguistics from Boston University, and a Master’s in Reading/Writing/Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania. Her primary research interests center around language & literacy development for linguistically and culturally diverse students. She joined Dr. Kim’s research team in the Fall of 2018. Jingyi Xu (Karida): Karida is a junior at Boston College studying Applied Psychology & Human Development and Economics. Karida joined the DS research team in fall, 2018. Currently, she also works at the Office of International Students & Scholars, and she cares about affairs related to international students. She is interested in higher education. Yan Li: Yan is an undergraduate student in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College, majoring in Elementary Education and Lynch Computer Science and Math, with a minor in Teaching English Language Learners. She is passionate about bilingual education and providing much-needed resources for students that are falling through the cracks of public education. Yan has worked at a SEI (Sheltered English Inclusion) classroom at Jackson-Mann and interned at Education First. You can reach her at libjv@bc.edu.
Yue Liu (Yoly): Yoly is currently an honors junior in Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Boston College. She joined Dr. Kim’s research team in spring, 2019 and has been working with Professor Kim on multiple projects. Yoly is passionate about building effective and sustainable education institutions all over the world and dedicating in advocating education equity and social justice. Xin Shen (Selina): Selina is a sophomore at Boston College studying Applied Psychology & Human Development and Economics. Selina joined the DS research team in Spring 2019 as a volunteer and have been participating in various projects organized by Professor Kim. She will also be a volunteer in BC BIGS in Fall 2019. Yoonmi Kang: Yoonmi Kang: Yoonmi is currently a senior at Boston College studying Applied Psychology & Human Development and Elementary Education as well as concentrations in Special Education and Teaching English Learners. She joined Dr.Kim’s research team in the summer of 2019. Yoonmi’s primary research interests relate to Positive Classroom Climate, especially meeting diverse student needs and preventing student underachievement in various educational settings. Xinyue (Thea) He: Xinyue He is currently a senior at Tianjin University of Science and Technology, majoring in Business English. Xinyue has worked as teacher assistant in different education groups, and Head of Operation in Yozer Community English School. During her college study, Xinyue was the chair of Photographic Association of TUST. Her strong interest in media technology and her internship in TAL, which is a leading education and technology enterprise in China, inspire her to pursue her passion in Education Technology in the future. Hehua (Lily) Xu: Lily is a Sophomore undergraduate at Boston College in Applied Psychology & Human Development and Communication. She joined the DS research team in fall, 2019. Yinyun(Tiffany) Zhu: Tiffany is a currently a junior at Boston College, majoring in Applied Psychology & Human Development, minoring in Higher Education and Korean Studies. She joined Dr.Kim's research team in Spring 2020. She is interested in Higher Education in community and school settings, Human Resources, and educational technology & media. Yezi Zheng: Yezi is a Junior studying at Boston College, a double major in Applied Psychology and Mathematics, minor in History. Though she was always a natural science student, her AP World History teacher in high school raised her interest in social science. After trying different majors in her Freshman and Sophomore year, Yezi started to have lots of interest in mental health education. Taesung Kim: Taesung is an undergraduate at Boston College majoring in Psychology along with minors in Education and Management and Leadership. Taesung is passionate about quality education and healthcare particularly for at-risk students. He has experience working at Judge Baker’s Children Center, Breakthrough Collaborative, and various educational centers. He joined Dr. Kim’s research team in Summer 2020. Qingyue Chen (May): May is currently an undergraduate student at Boston College, double majoring in Applied Psychology & Human Development and Economics. As a member of BC’s Eagle Volunteers, May participated in multiple programs related to bilingual education and had years of school-volunteering experience. Yuqi Wang: Yuqi is currently a graduate student in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College, majoring in curriculum and instruction.She joined Dr. Kim’s research team in Fall, 2020. Yanzhi Wang (Jenny): Yanzhi is currently a Lynch school Junior at Boston College. She studies Applied Psychology and Human Development with double minors in Theater and English. She joined Dr. Kim's research team in January 2021. Her interest area is Technology and Education and is always concerned with social justice issues for marginalized groups.
