As an international student, I felt intimidated to join the class discussion when I first arrived in American school. Will my classmate laugh at my accent? Will I sound "stupid"? Can I really express what I want to say? These kind of negative thoughts stops me from actively and effectively participating in class discussion, where a major part of learning happens.
If you share the same kind of struggle, check out Yoly's video about how to join in American class discussion. She will share her experiences and lessons to help you be more active in the class.
