Some time, life hit us too hard, and we on ourselves are just unable to defeat. We as international students suffer from even more emotional stressors as we are far away from home, from our families, speaking a foreign language, eating foreign foods, and adjusting to a foreign culture. At that time, we may need external emotional support from the university's mental health service.
In this video, Yinru will talk about her experiences getting help from the mental health service and show us how to fully utilize this resource when we need it.
Remember: although there might be stigma around mental health services in our own culture, there is nothing to be ashamed about it. Getting the help and support we need is way more important.
